Is it safe to use Micharity Payment Services?
Security influences everything we do at Micharity. Our policy is to go above and beyond to make sure your information is secure. With Micharity, you get the highest levels of security and reliability for your fundraising applications and data. We’ll keep our eyes on the software, so you can keep your eyes on your mission. This is the biggest reason why we’ve partnered with TD Bank, WePay, Bambora, and First Data to process your payments. They are industry leaders when it comes to keeping your information safe online.
If you have questions about our partners' security procedures, please check out:
1. Is your technology secure?
Our state-of-the-art cryptographic algorithms are used during data transmission (HTTPS with RSA 2048 bit key and SHA 256 certificate) and in our databases (AES 256 encryption with unique per-row keys). Our servers are kept in PCI and SSAE16 certified data centers with 24/7 monitoring.
2. Are you PCI compliant?
The PCI DSS certification process is designed to protect your sensitive data. Our processing partners are a certified Level 1 PCI Compliant Service Provider (the highest level), which requires an annual independent security audit of our processes and systems. We test our system daily (manually and automatically) to ensure security.
3. How are performance indicators monitored?
We will monitor performance indicators on the systems and network infrastructure to gauge the overall performance of hosting and will take reasonable steps to address systems and network infrastructure as required to maintain application performance. We will use an internal system to measure whether hosting is available, and you agree that this system will be the sole basis for resolution of any dispute that may arise between us regarding the availability.
4. What is the system’s availability?
We commit that the production version of the software in the hosting environment will be available at least 99.9% of the time (calculated on a monthly basis and excludes maintenance as stated above). Should you experience a disruption please notify us as soon as possible. To be eligible for a service credit, the average availability for the entire prior month must drop below 99.7% and you must notify us within 30 days of the end of that month so that we can investigate the issue. We will use our tools to measure and confirm any reported unavailability.
Upon timely notice of unavailability that qualifies for a credit, we will credit your next invoice as follows:
Monthly Uptime | Service Credit (Precentage of monthly fees for Subscription) |
|
---|---|---|
Minimum | Maximun | |
<=99.7% | >=99.5% | 10% |
<=99.5% | N/A | 20% |
